The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam conveys its appreciation to those who have expressed their sympathy, condolences, and concern for the victims of Typhoon "Sendong" (International Code Name "Washi"). Update on Affected Persons and Areas. The Philippine Government is focused on providing immediate assistance and relief to victims of the typhoon and affected areas. Per Situation Report No. 13 by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), (as of 21 December 2011, 5:00 a.m.): The storm left 3,057 casualties (976 dead; 1,603 injured; 46 missing; and 432 rescued/survivors from typhoon).
